My name is David Likhovetsky, and I have been working as a personal trainer since 2001. With more than 25 years of coaching experience, I take every client’s goals seriously and focus on what matters most: safe, effective training that supports strength, movement, and long-term health.
After years of working in shared and high-traffic environments, I created my own fully private training space to offer a more focused and personalised experience. The studio is designed to remove the distractions, pressure, and limitations of commercial gyms, allowing each client to train in a quiet, professional setting with complete attention on their goals.
DL Personal Training is built around one core principle training for longevity. The goal is not just short-term results, but helping clients move better, feel stronger, and maintain their independence and physical capacity for years to come.
Many of the people I work with are coming from sedentary lifestyles, past injuries, or long periods away from exercise. My approach focuses on restoring quality movement, building functional strength, and improving confidence in the body. Every program is designed to be practical, sustainable, and appropriate for the individual.
Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of environments, from busy commercial gyms to private personal training studios, as well as delivering one-on-one sessions in clients’ homes. These experiences have shaped a practical, adaptable coaching style that focuses on real-world results, individual needs, and long-term progress.
My background combines extensive years of coaching kickboxing and boxing in both group exercise and personal training settings, alongside a strong foundation in combative martial arts including Muay Thai, kickboxing, and boxing. I have been practicing martial arts since the age of 8 and have been dedicated to strength training since the age of 16.
I am a registered AUSactive Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor, as well as a registered AUSactive Business Member. My formal qualifications are supported by extensive professional development across multiple training disciplines.

After years of working in commercial gyms, outdoor settings, private studios, and clients’ homes, I saw first-hand that many people feel uncomfortable, rushed, or overlooked in busy gym environments. That experience led me to create DL Personal Training a fully private studio where each client receives complete focus and attention.
This environment removes the distractions, pressure, and limitations often found in large gyms. It allows sessions to be structured around correct movement mechanics, proper technique, and a safe, progressive approach to strength training.
In this setting, the priority is simple: one client, one focus, and steady progress toward long-term health and longevity.
